After discovering and learning from the world of intersectional feminist food studies and devouring some heartfelt works by many women from all over the globe around food and it’s presence or absence in our identity, I wanted to start a sharing project. After observing just how caught up we are in our own bubbles due to segregated communities, political climates, and social media, I thought what better way to come together and to listen to others than to do so over a shared meal, one which is important to you and your story.
I would love you to join me in creating awareness and letting people, who may be very different from you, into your kitchen, shared spaces, and homes to show everyone just how much we have in common, how drastically different we are, and how much we are still completely unaware of about one another.
This safe space is open to all women or anyone who identifies as such. There is no limit or censorship to what you would like to share and this project is a platform here for you to shed light on anything you think we should be talking about.
